Carlsberg Scores Marketing Win
Sending a select group of Carlsberg drinkers to an all-expense paid trip to a luxurious resort to hang out with football legends is not a bad way to increase brand loyalty.
Deemed “The Ultimate Football Retreat”, that’s how I found myself at the stunning Avanti Resort in Sepang, Malaysia to meet football legends Steve McManaman, Gianfranco Zol, Sol Campbell, and Dennis Wise.
We were wined and dined , and we even played football games with the legends throughout the day. They were incredible good sports about it all. Truth be told, I’m not a huge beer drinker, but much beer was consumed during this retreat and we all had a great time. It was an effective way to create customer “stickiness”.
In fact, I believe I’ll have myself a Carlsberg right now!
